HATC Credit Increase for 2026
The Homeowners Affordability Tax Credit (HATC) has increased for 2026! Residential property owners who qualify can now receive a rebate of up to $1,600 on their school taxes (up from $1,500 in 2025).
Please note that if you did not receive the HATC on your 2025 property tax bill, or your property ownership has recently changed, you may need to self-declare your principle residence with the Municipality in order to have the tax credit applied to your 2026 property tax bill.
