Ellis Ave Watermain Looping Project
As part of the Municipality's effort to improve service and reliability in the water distribution system, we are installing a short watermain across Main Street along Ellis Ave to connect the two sides together.
The work will require a short shutdown on the east side of Main Street between Front Ave and Ellis on October 20th (from 1:00pm to 5:00pm approximately). Following this another short shut down is scheduled for October 21st (from 1:00pm to 5:00pm approximately) along the west side of Main Street between Front Ave. and Fuller Ave.
These shut downs are required for the installation of new isolation valves on the system. Once these valves are installed, the system will be placed back into normal operation and then remaining work can be executed without any further major water service interruptions.
The entire project is expected to be completed by October 30th, with asphalt restoration completed in the spring of 2027.
